Current status of project:
After completing the preliminary report and presentation, our group has begun brainstorming ideas for our project. We must select a physiological parameter (such as pupil size, heart rate, etc.) as our indicator of sleep, and we also must select a method for measuring that parameter (eye tracking, EOG, etc.). We identified about 15 different parameters and methods and listed the pros and cons of each. For some parameters, we did not have much information, so each team member was assigned several topics to research for next week.
Additionally, we attempted to access the eye tracker data from Dr. Dosenbach but encountered some permissions issues, which are currently being resolved.
Work planned for next week:
This week, we will complete our research on various sleep indicating parameters. We also plan to meet with Dr. Dosenbach on Wednesday to discuss how we can collect our own sleep data.
Anything needed from client or TA or instructor to continue work:
-none
