Current status of project:
This week, began discussion of software development. On Friday, we met with Nico and Jon. Jon wrote a program which measures head motion. Our program will use a similar approach for taking in data, and will also utilize a similar GUI. We acquired Jon’s code to use as a reference during our coding process. We also discussed with Nico how we can measure heart rate and respiratory rate. We determined that respiratory rate is not a robust enough parameter to use.
Work planned for next week:
We plan to begin the software development process. We want to meet with Nick Bloom to discuss the specifics of getting data from the eye tracker in real time. Once this is complete, we will have all of the information we need to begin coding.
Additionally, if we decide that eye tracker data is insufficient, we will perform more data collection, but hopefully this is not necessary.
Anything needed from client or TA or instructor to continue work:
-Eye tracker information from Nick Bloom
